To change monitor notification settings for iPhone, launch GDB monitor app, tap the device in ‘My Devices’ view, then tap ‘Notification Frequency’.
To change monitor notification settings for Android phones, launch GDB monitor app, tap the device in ‘My Devices’ view, then tap ‘Device Reminder Settings’.
You can configure notification frequency. You can set to only get notified when the door is left open for certain amount of time. You can also set to only notify once by disabling subsequent notification when the door is left open.
There are two checkboxes in the setting.

If you need to keep your garage door open for a long period of time but don’t want to get interrupted by the repeating notifications from the monitor, there are several options to do it.
For Android:
option 1. Tap the device in the monitor app > Tap ‘Device Reminder Settings’ > Enable ‘Turn off subsequent notifications’.
option 2. Pull down from the top of the screen. Find an existing monitor notification. Tap and hold the notification. You should see a switch to disable the notification. Turn the switch off and save. Don’t forget to go to the Phone’s notification settings to enable it again later.
option 3. If you didn’t find any existing notification from the pull down drawer, go to the phone’s notification settings to disable the notification for the monitor app. Don’t forget to go to the Phone’s notification settings to enable it again later.
option 4. Turn on ‘DO NOT DISTURB’ mode temporarily.
option 5. Use the focus mode feature to silent the notification if you are using Android 10.
For iPhone:
option 1. Tap the device in the monitor app > Tap ‘Notification Frequency’ > Enable ‘Turn off subsequent notifications’.
option 2. Go to the phone’s notification settings to disable the notification for the monitor app. Don’t forget to go to the Phone’s notification settings to enable it again later.
option 3. Turn on ‘DO NOT DISTURB’ mode temporarily.
option 4. There a new notification feature in iOS 12. You can change the GDB monitor’s notification to be silent and change it back later.
