Alternative to setup for GDB monitor

If you are using iPhone, follow these steps.

1. Launch GDB monitor app.  tap “+” button and go to step “Step 4 of 5”.
2. Hold the ‘Add Device To Network’ button for about 6 seconds or click the ‘alternative way to setup’ button.  A new screen will pop up for alternative way to setup the monitor.
3. There is a round hole on the GDB monitor device. Hold the reset button inside with a paper clip or pen. Hold until you hear 4 beeps and then release the reset button. Then you will see GDB_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx in your phone’s WiFi list.
4. Connect your phone’s WiFi to GDB_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.
5. Come back to the GDB monitor app. Fill your router’s network name and your router’s password. Note that you should fill your home router’s network name, not GDB2_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.
6. Click “Add device to network” button. If you hear a long beep from the device, it means the setup is successful. If you hear other type of beeps, let us know.

 

If you are using Android phone, follow these steps.

1. Launch GDB monitor app,  click “+” button in “My Devices” screen.  Swipe left to the step where you see “Add device to network” button.
2. Hold “Add device to network” button for about 2 seconds. The ‘alternative way to setup’  button will show up. Click the ‘Alternative way to setup’ button.
3. There is a round hole on the GDB monitor device. Hold the reset button inside with a paper clip or pen. Hold until you hear 4 beeps and then release the reset button. Then you will see GDB_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx in your phone’s WiFi list.
4. Connect your phone’s WiFi to ‘GDB_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx’.
5. Come back to the GDB monitor app. Fill your router’s network name and your router’s password. Note that you should fill your home router’s network name, not GDB2_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.
6. Click “Add device to network” button. If you hear a long beep from the device, it means the setup is successful. If you hear other type of beeps, let us know.
