1. Launch the GDB monitor app, click the “+” button in “My Devices” screen. Swipe left to the step where you see the “Add device to network” button.
2. Hold the “Add device to network” button for about 2 seconds. The ‘alternative way to setup’ button will show up. Click the ‘Alternative way to setup’ button.
3. There is a round hole on the GDB monitor device. Hold the reset button inside with a paperclip or pen. Hold until you hear 4 beeps and then release the reset button. Then you will see GDB_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx in your phone’s WiFi list.
4. Connect your phone’s WiFi to ‘GDB_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx’.
5. If there’s a ‘no internet’ message dialog box pops up, tap ‘yes’ to confirm to connect to ‘GDB_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx’.
6. Come back to the GDB monitor app. Fill your router’s network name and your router’s password. Note that you should fill your home router’s network name, not GDB2_xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.
7. Click the “Add device to network” button. If you hear a long beep from the device, it means the setup is successful.
