By default you will get a notification when the garage door opens or closes. And you will get a notification every 15 minutes when the garage door is left open. You can change the frequency of the notifications when the garage is door is left open. You can also change the setting to not have the initial notification when the garage door opens or closes and only have the notifications when the garage door is left open. Or you can change the setting to only notify you when the door opens or closes.
